This time the paper was crumpled into a ball, then flattened out. Very interesting surface to paint on. Used a Sume brush. Emily is back from China after six months. She studied traditional Chinese painting while there and showed me a few strokes. This is just applying paint to see what it will do. New Clock New Clock ~4.75x6.875" Acrylic/Panel $100 Buy Now Another painting with Atelier Interactive acrylics. Not like regular acrylics, they may seem dry, but are not. I painted the dark gray background and foreground first, then the tangerine and the clock. Finally, I did the reflections of the two objects. The gray was dry to the touch, but a little squirt with the mister and it became wet again allowing me to blend orange into it...something you could do with oils, but never with acrylics! Going to the Sun Going to the Sun 36x36" Acrylic/Canvas $5200 Buy Now 2 1/2" deep on gallery wrapped 12 oz. canvas, not one of the painting a day smaller works. An acrylic painting depicting a distant river from high above on the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park this past September. It's a very impressive piece in person...something the digital photos only hint at. The retail price is $5200. That includes shipping and handling in the US.
