Summer is here! Hot...about 95, but we found a new spot in the shade, no traffic and several good views of the lake. Tried toning this one with Burnt Sienna and gesso which made a very nice warm gray. Seems to work well for the clouds and water. The one below I toned with Burnt Umber and gesso for a slightly warm, neutral gray which compliments the blues.

Tired of fighting the acrylics...they dry almost instantly on the palette in this heat!!! Our backyard rose bush is awesome this year.

Switching to oils for now. This one is 9 x 12 on hardboard. The mountain is two colors, a gray green and a slightly bluer and lighter color. Then went back and wiped out the lighter spots with the brush. UM blue, Cad Y, Cad R and white.
